OP, what you need to realize is that life is completely meaningless. Sex and love is nothing more than a waste of time, no matter how necessary it feels. We are forced to feel sad when love isn't reciprocated because our bodies need us to procreate. The only way to get over it is to realize how meaningless and futile it is.
