So? He's a great musician. Not just with Spacemen 3, but his solo work is nice too. "What Came Before After" "The Köner Experiment" and "Highs, Lows, and Heavenly Blows" are all great.
His style of production just doesn't mesh well with Panda - he's all about "out there" maximalist psychedelic stuff - really blunt (why his production with MGMT worked well) while Panda deals with subtle, delicate, layers with nuance. If anything it's Panda's issue for continuing to bring him on board.
