I haven't heard it, unfortunately! I see it's on Linn so I'll just have to DL it.
The main thing I find in recordings of Bach's ensemble works is that the ensemble has to be energetic and fast. Some people like Masaaki Suzuki (in his some older recordings anyways) take the music way too slow and it loses the affect.

The good music is there, you just have to look harder for it. For other decades, enough time has passed so that a lot of great music that wasn't popular has been discovered. Because RYM is really popular atm, the 2010s, you'll pretty much only find music with exposure being rated consistently by many people.

Star Wars is a good film. It has flaws, which /tv/ is right about (generally), but these flaws don't make it a horrible movie, which is what /tv/ is wrong about.
