I've been looking for some ambient techno but with long sections of rich crisp distortion, similar to the last minute or two of Aphex Twin's - Windowlicker.
Some of my favourite artists/producers are: Kraftwerk, Daniel Avery, The Orb, Orbital, Primal Scream, New Order, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Neu!, Roman Flugel, DJ Koze, Dixon, Moderat, William Basinski, Robert Hood, Frankie Knuckles, Wolfgang Voigt, AME, Autechre.
If you have any recommendations, artists/producers, labels to be checking out i'm all ears.

2. Been falling in love with house and techno and everything dance the past couple years. It's awesome. Is being into house and techno a really small subculture in the US? Because I don't know anybody into this shit. I'm sure it's more prevalent in like NYC and some places, but not in the suburbs.
3. Based off the point above....I dream of being able to go out to a club that played good house and techno a night or two a week. Underground mixed with less underground. How common are clubs like this in the U.S.? Especially in the southeastern United States is what I'm wondering. Like, there's several EDM clubs in Tampa. But even the most 'indie' one plays total shit. Should I try and start a night at a bar/club? Is that a possibility?
