94 was a fantastic year for black metal but aside from that I literally cannot think of anything else from that year that was even remotely of interest, aside from a handful of early post-rock albums and that one Kyuss album.

But this came out in 1989
>>61427860
Well I'm not laughing
94 was a great year for black metal (and the end of an era) also southern rap was starting to get dark and gritty. Not sure about the best year but it was certainly great.
>>61427860
You couldn't voice your distaste for hip hop without resorting to inbred KKK rhetoric?

>And they have become so invasive and fossilizing that we sometimes catch ourselves thinking that life in Italy began in 752, and that 1490 or 1492 are like mountains that humanity vaulted over, suddenly finding itself in a new world, coming into a new life. So the date becomes an obstacle, a parapet that stops us from seeing that history continues to unfold along the same fundamental unchanging line, without abrupt stops, like when at the cinema the film rips and there is an interval of dazzling light.

1994 was the worst year of music because Kurt Cobain died and Justin Bieber was born. Some of the best years in music in the past 60 years are 1951, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1991, and 2000.
Oops I meant 1959, not 1951. That year sucked. Because rock music wasn't invented back then.
1977
1991
2000
best years in music imo
Purely subjective.
There was good and bad in every year. Don't be such a faggot.

Jesus what are you, Rolling Stone Subscriber of the Year?
>>61426326
Every year in the 60s. Duke, Pops, Frank, Dizzy, Belson and Benny were all still at it meanwhile Coltrane, Davis, Mingus, Roach, Monk, and Montgomery were pushing new ground. Then we have Motown and Soul or otherwise known as the greatest Pop music ever engineered. Next we have the peak of Rock and Roll with The Sonics, The Beatles, The Who, Black Sabbath, Dick Dale, Blue Cheer, and The MC5. We also see the birth of the Synthesizer and with it the birth of Funk and many branches modern classical. The common man also begins embracing the avant garde with The Velvet Undeground, Can, and Pink Floyd. That's just the tip and honestly the 60s were so good in music it's an absolute miracle. Any year in the 60s is better than the year Weezer took home AOTY by a landslide.
