10/10 album thread, truly the best in their niche
I keep seeing these threads, that this album is 10/10 -- AND I AGREE -- but it's so sad, they never get replies except for my own that are always like this.
I just ordered Empire, and hope to get Rat Conspiracy soon too. Unwound is so good.
Nothing has come close.

It's a 10/10 in that it nails the aesthetic, the songwriting is way too loose to be a 10/10 overall though. Sometimes they just don't know when to end a fucking song, or even move on from a particular part of a track.

love this album loads, but there are a few tracks that don't quite measure up as well as a few that could have had 1-2 minutes shaved off of them.
i think chiastic slide is a 10, though.

desu, she is beyond good and evil is one of the best songs i've ever heard, i really want to love the rest of this album just as much, but i'm not sure how much value it has besides the first two songs.
