I was wondering if there was any other emo recs other than the couple essential charts I could find on the wiki and on the web
also any shit like Joyce Manor as well. Last.fm let's me down and its all the same
crash of rhinos - distal
>>61411398
I Hate Myself-3 Songs (even better than 10 song IMO)
nouns-Still Bummed
On The Might Of Princes-Where you are and where you want to be (essential imo)
thanks for the recs. I'll check em out. I'm digging crash of rhinos atm
Don't know if you're still here, but I've been posting charts of my favorite 90's stuff because I grew up in that era and I haven't found much modern stuff that's up to snuff.
...but I'm not much into pretty twinkly stuff though, more weird melodies and complex rhythms that manage to follow a groove.
>>61412132
that's a pretty kickass chart. the twinkly stuff, for me, is good in moderation, but as you said, I'm more into the more intricate rhythms. thanks a lot
Chart #2
If anyone has recs for modern bands you think would suit my tastes let me know. I can only think of Ampere and Cinemechanica. To me a lot of emo and """skramz""" sounds the same, and is pretty overproduced.
Last chart.
Again, sure to disappoint the /emoe/ crowd, though I left some in there since they're good.
You can also tell me your fav. bands/styles and I'll try to give you a good obscure 90's comp you may not have heard of.
>>61412234
Wow, Poe's Law is in full effect here because I really can't tell whether this is a parody.
>>61411398
someone post the higher resolution version of this please.
>>61413095
>>61413148
thanks, love you elmo.
there was also one chart that got posted on yesterday's thread that everybody seemed to like.
>>61413163
>>61412132
>>61412182
>>61412230
Dude thanks for these charts, Im sure to check out some of these! Looks interesting, specifically the second chart
>>61411442
The Sidekicks are pretty similar to Joyce Manor, check them out
If you want some Skramz check out Orchid, Pg.99, I wrote haiku's about cannibalism in your yearbook, they're all good
>>61413328
Cheers.
Any modern bands you think I should know about?
what's that one album called with a mirror as a cover or does it have mirror on the name, no idea
>>61411398
> no Knapsack
> no Portraits of Past
> including Pianos Become the Teeth, but not Touché Amoré
> including Rites of Spring, but not Dag Nasty
I'd also recommend Ampere, who are infinitely better than the related Orchid
should probably also mention Heroin and Envy
>>61414385
>Dag Nasty
Which singer? If you choose incorrectly, your opinions are worthless and your life poorly spent.
>>61411398
>no Touche Amore
>no Title Fight
>no Four Hundred Years
>no Embrace
besides that it's a good list
>>61411398
>brand new
>emo
>pinkerton
>emo
>>61414507
Shawn and Dave Smalley are both great
>>61414754
