What does your boyfriends/girlfriends listen to? I'd post mine but I don't have a gf :( I think I'm fine with any music she likes, but if she only like local mainstream music then it must suck talking about music with her. I have no ideal music taster for my girlfriend (she doesn't exist though) but I think it's neat if she likes Kanye, honest
she listens to the sounds of me sobbing because i have no gf

My girlfriend really likes pop, classical, edm, ambient, post-rock, shoegaze, blackgaze, stoner doom, dream pop, blues rock, post-metal, k-pop, some hip-hop, downtempo, math rock, some folk metal. That about covers it, I think.

I think her favorites are Ray Charles, Arcade Fire, Built to Spill, Red House Painters, Slint and King Crimson, but she also enjoys Peter Brötzmann, Miles Davis, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Hüsker Du, Creedence Clearwater Revival,The Pop Group, Faust, Captain Beefheart and Swans.
My bf Listens to alternative hip hop and metal, mostly black and tech-death.

oi r u grill ;-)???
It seems that every girl I've ever dated liked rap and top 40 music. They all laughed when they found out I liked Earth Wind & Fire, but in the end they all came to (at least somewhat) like it.
It's almost like all girls are disco girls and just don't know it yet.
