Leonard Cohen was 37 when he made Songs of love and hate and 40 by the time that New Skin for the old ceremony was released.
I thought pic related was pretty good. Apparently the album prior to it was decent too.
Sufjan Stevens turned 40 this year so his next release will probably correct this.
