Learn how to do these in every key, and don't be a pussy get to the point where you can do them all really fast. Then start getting comfortable with triads, there are major, minor, augmented, and diminished triads. Get to the point where you can transition between these at any time. Once again, don' be a pussy.
Then, get comfortable with 7th chords, now these chords take up 4 notes, as opposed to the 3 of the triads. 7th chords have a much more fuller sound.
The type of 7th chords include major, minor, dominant, diminished, and half diminished.
Get familiar with those, be able to go back and forth between all of them.
Then you can start looking at key charts to find out witch chords go with what. Then learn common chord progressions.
There! after just 2-3 months you are now somewhat familiar with tonality.
