There's a book about him that has yet to be translated.
What little info I could find on him is conflicting. Some say he died of an unknown heart condition, some say he tragically got in a car accident and died.
Also, here's the total qt Honzi. She did the violin, accordion, and keyboards on Long Season as well as some production. She died in 2005 iirc, unfortunately.

Ok, he only made one good album (By the Throat), but maybe there would've been more.

This is what I was going to post.

He's dead

I miss Jay, really sad about his death, his contributions to that modern kind of punk that is so popular today will never really be matched ;_; Nathan Williams is a pretty good successor though and he did a great job at working with Pope and co.
>>61401211
Wut? First born was his best. At the very least it was on par with btt, despite having a bit too much filker
>>61401716
I was with Jay the night he died. He was fucking insane that night. Seriously taking bong rips with a bowl full of cocaine.
That motherfucker wanted to die I swear to this day
>>61400472
No such thing as a musician that didn't die too young.
Rock on in heaven brothers \m/
>>61401782
That's insane, from what I've read about him, he seemed like a really down to earth guy who had a very rough upbringing, he was just so young and on the cusp of huge success, to be cut down like that from not being able to handle everything all at once just upsets me. I wanted him to be famous and have everything he dreamed of because he really put in the hard work to get where he was.

First Born (and most Eyedea material) felt way too self-consciously wordy and backpacker for me. By The Throat felt like Eyedea & Abilities had finally grown into a unique sound, with far less self-conscious nudging and winking.

98.12.28 should be a fun album but it's actually horribly depressing knowing what happened to Sato.
Jim Morrison
>>61400917
his death felt like one of the most fucked up things that happened this year
>>61401023
I love him so much.
