I'm pretty sure Land of Confusion was on here also In Too Deep, which means this thread will probably get Bateman posting.

Invisible Touch is a great song. Throwing It All Away is a great song. In Too Deep is okay. Land of Confusion is a great song (and a great video). I don't care for the rest of it honestly.

I liked it. It was nowhere near as boring as Duke or Abacab and was more risky than Genesis. It's not as good as an album like Nursery Cryme, Selling England By The Pound, or The Lamb, but it's my favorite of the 80's albums.
I think in the 80's they tried to adopt a sound which was trying to apply progressive rock structures to pop music, and I think the end result is one of the most legitimately forward thinking experiments in prog in the 80's. It really doesn't deserve the hate just because there were a few bad songs across the albums.

As a pop album, I enjoy it. But as a Genesis album, I find it disappointing. As a previous poster said, the directional change of the band was rather controversial

I do quite enjoy some of Genesis' later singles, but I probably wouldn't bother listening to the full albums.
I love it so much.
