I feel this way about the Melvins, weirdly
I think they're one of the greatest rock bands ever, but because of the goofy shit Buzz tends to pull, none of them ever quite feel like 'albums' to me. More just collections of songs. Even Lysol kinda trails off at the end - good songs, but kind of ill-fitting after the Hung Bunny/ Roman Bird Dog masterpiece.
Basically they released about 10+ 8/10 albums but none of them quite go beyond that for me. I don't even know how to describe it exactly. I mean, the goofiness is part of their charm and I wouldn't change it. But... yeah. I'm rambling. Maybe another fan will get where I'm coming from.
