nope. when i was 13 i used to pretend. it got me listening to more and omore obscure music even though i never got it. but i arrived on the internet when lastfm was huge around 2007. it gave me something to prove. holy shit you have gret taste for a 13 year old "terry riley, cukor smer', the list goes on." i was cool and i listened to be cool. but by listening it got me to tihnk and appreciate the powers of experimental music. thinking conceptually about deep topics. repeatedly listening to difficult music100s of times to appear cool on lastfm got me to understand the music i was listening to and tihnk deeply about it. now i cant listne to popular music at all without cringing.
