>Exit 2015
I work at my second job, watch my brother's dog, and go to bed at 11:30PM based on principle. Before that I'll probably do 200 pushups and blast DETERGE (headphones, don't want to disturb the puppy).

>NAOTY?
2 many 2 name

>2016?
I already ordered my FFH tape from Crumer. I'm looking forward to following maybe 4 labels for awhile and a few blogs. Sort of limiting my listening because I listened to too much in 2015.
Labels for 2016 are:
>Fusty Cunt
>Strange Rules
>No Rent
>FAG TAPES

I'll also get the last of the MACRONYMPHA boxed sets and anything THE RITA puts out.

>Merch from 2015
Oh yeah pic related among other things.

2016 I'm making a point not to download as much music. While, as said, I listen to a lot, there is a lot of stuff that sits in hard drives.

Oh and to the bro who rec'd CARVED CROSS, are you in the band? I really like it and the big cartel which "sold" their stuff had nothing. I would follow that label too cause I'm really into Lo-Fi "what the fuck is this anyway...a melody" Black Metal.

Also, are you going to make it to 200?

If you do that would mean you listened to roughly 7 (6.45) albums a day every day this month. Right now your average is 6.2 as opposed to 6.45, in both cases you have to round up I guess, unless you stop albums and finish them then next day (which I do that sometimes).

I guess the true noise way would be to not have goals and seeing as you have transcended your bodily form anyway.....keep up the good [great] work.

I think I have to make it to 200 now, it's too close not to
They haven't all been albums, there's been a handful of 7" and 12"s in there, but there's also been a fair whack of 3-5 hour compilations, which have been a blast when fun, but painful when bad.
It's currently 9.30pm UK time, so I've got about 24 hours to round this up, since I'll be getting trashed for NYE, but I've also got work in the day, so I'll have to bash the majority out tonight, gonna pull a late, late one.

I ate so much Ice Cream this month. I'm not even a stress eater or anything. I just thought it was funny. I would eat ice cream on my bed, post on /noise/ and aggressively yell at people on /tv/ before STAR WARS came out [fuck STAR WARS, Dylan and Eric hated it and they might have had a point], while blasting harsh fucking tunes.

I could have a blog with 10 followers discussing ice cream, coffee and noise/black metal.

Damn, I think that tumblr has a bit awkward tagging system and this is really important if you want to collect the articles, at the other hand it allows you to reblog things so if you find something interesting on the site itself it's much easier to have it on your blog.

The band puts out very short run tapes on a few labels that are based in Tasmania, this blog belongs to one of the members of Carved Cross and it sometimes updates whenever they put out something.

Referring to CARVED CROSS? That's a bit of understatement. I eat that shit up. I'm very bummed yet thrilled all the tapes sold out. Nice to know there is a demand but bummed I didn't get a copy. I love the vinyl case format for tapes. Rodger Stella utilizes that for his and MACRONYMPHA retrospectives. So cool. I'll post a pic later in the night.

couldn't finish this month off without some of the daddy himself
>>
>>61380305
Thanks. In the archive, I saw that you uploaded it last year but the link was dead.
>>

Do any of you guys have this?

http://www.discogs.com/Le-Syndicat-30-Years-Of-Excess/release/4619325

>>
>>61380960
oh god I feared that might be the case
>>
Anyone else having problems with slsk right now? Is it down?
>>
>>61381145
I've got it just fine right now (up and down), but recently I've had a thing where if I try to download something from somebody who has too high an up speed, everything gets all fucky and doesn't work out.
>>
>>61381200
I'm getting a socket error when I open it and try logging in. I have no idea what that means and the site/forum is down so I can't look for anything there.
>>
>>61381264
No clue, man. Wish I could help you out.
>>
>>61381503
I just restarted and that seemed to fix it. Another win for turning your device off and then back on.

a big thank you to everyone in /noise/

big up everyone who posted shares, even if I didn't get to em this month, they're in the backlog for 2016

rounding this year off with a release I've been holding out on for just such an occasion
>>

Good fucking call!

Who saw ALBERICH last month? Scumbag did!

Where I find noise concerts to go to?

That anon is right. Michigan noise in general is trash. I personally know this guy https://grvd.bandcamp.com/ and he literally makes his noise on a laptop with Fruity Loops and just throws a shit ton of filters on it. Tries so fucking hard to appeal to the "depressed and suicidal" demographic it's so terrible. Also gets most of his "artwork" from tumblr. Also, he considers himself to be an "artist". also he's an SJW
>>
>>61382470
>Literally has an album titled "Dying Alone as a Virgin"
I'll give him one thing, he seems to know his audience.

i remember stumbling on this guy when I was bandcamp trawling last year. You're def right he pushes the sad aesthetic.
>>61381588
excellent excellent choice.
>>61381634
jealous still honestly. Do you know of any live shows planned for next year?

kek, I suppose. I was really quite surprised by that title though because he lost his virginity when he was like 16 and has had sex with at least a dozen girls, so.

Whats yall favorite noise record this year?
>>
>>61382671
Probably Grim - Maha
Evidently everything that he puts out is automatically gold in my mind
>>
I don't really listen to much noise but I really like stuff like Muslimgauze. Whatcha got /noise/

I just look at the tour dates of my favorite acts and check out the venues in each respective city.

I've never been to Detroit.

I've been meaning to take a day trip to DC and get weird and maybe see a show.

>>61382602
For ALBERICH? Not sure. For me? Just going to MAPS in March. Kind of actively avoiding NYC cause...I kind of hate it...

If anyone knows anything cool going on in Philly, I'd rather go there. I'm pretty good at finding stuff like VOX Populi and the Vat (a /noise/ bro actually rec'd the Vat).

>>61382671
Pic related is certainly a contender

I also really liked:
>VOMIR - HERE GOES NOTHING
>PRURIENT - UNMASKING THE INSECT
>Every THE RITA release but I'm hugely biased
>JASON CRUMER - Tie between FEATHERBOARD and TAHOE (kind of an odd one)
>JOHN WIESE - DEVIATE FROM BALANCE
>SISSY SPACEK - BRATH
>KOUFAR - LEBANON FOR LEBANESE
>PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT - THE ARCHITECT
>CHRIS GOUDREAU Releases (dat modular concrete mayhem)

and many many more.

I also really liked LEVIATHAN - SCAR SIGHTED but that's not even remotely noise.
>>
>>61382799
OK. Thanks, I'll do that.
>>
>>61382799
Rodger Stella also had an awesome 7" and VENTA PROTESIX did some ear raping mayhem this year.

I have a shit ton of FAG TAPES and FUSTY CUNT coming in the mail though so I will do a 2015 wrap up post some point in February.

probably the most refreshing, intense harsh noise I've heard in a long time. This almost reminds me of TCP but without it being a wall.
>>
>>61375484

Cut hands isn't even noise.
Just because it's by Bennett doesn't make it noise. At best it's corny techno, at worst its racist midi videogame background music
>>
>>61383202
One of my favorite albums...ever. Super dynamic cut up harsh noise.

Hard to believe it came out so many years ago while still be 'recent'. Allegedly nobody has any idea how the fuck he perfected a lot of the sounds and editing.

So are you going to fill us in on the releases that stood out?

...when I say 'us' I really mean 'me'

Who is good with circuit bending here? I'm going to try to learn and make fucked up instruments like the Wolf Boys this year.
>>
>>61390834
I'm also interested in that circuit bending biz. I've been dabbling with electronics lately and I love it. It gives so much flexibility to be able to create your own instruments. I've only done passive mixers and contact mics. I also do other stuff like tape loops and homemade spring/string instruments.
>>
>>61390910
You got picks of the spring instruments?
>>
>>61391332
Yep. The two-stringed one in the back is the only with a built-in CM so far, and I plan to do the same for the other two springs instruments. The 4-stringed one doesn't sound so good, much less sustain, as it's made from a piece of steel and not aluminium like the other.

The thingy with the battery is my "handy gurdy". It's a motor with a felt pad that makes the strings vibrate. Cool for drones.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFT_E4DbHtg
>>
>>61391680
Well done bro. Those are some pretty cool sounds. Very 'Eastern'. I bet you can get it sounding like a sickness (not the artist the actual sounds of being sick) with an effect or two and looping it while releasing and tightening the tension?

A+. I'll be watching more of your videos.
>>
>>61391798
Thanks for the kind words. Yeah actually I play the strings by hitting/bowing and tuning up and down, and then sending the signal to pedals or tape players. If you want to hear more stuff :
