I promised myself that once I can actually play any instruments worth a shit and find a way to do harsh vocals without ruining my voice I would record a trilogy of Appalachian black metal albums. I live just on the edges of Appalachia, but even so the landscape here with all the abandoned barns, fallen-in homes, and old graveyards (and also normal graveyards and churches and meth houses) is really inspiring, as is the history of this area and its families.

Interestingly, the mountain folk in Appalachia were sympathetic to the union during the war, and despised slavery as an institution. It's only been relatively recently that Appalachians have started identifying with the CSA, I'm guessing because of their isolation and alienation from urban america.

Sounds like some experimental hip hop being made underwater or in a cave that's real wet ya know. A lot of instrumentals too. Not necessarily lyric heavy.

Fauxcanada-core, in which musicians not from Canada insert gratuitous and inapropos references to Canadian locales or themes into their songs.

>It's been seven hours and fif-teen days
>Since you took your love away
>I go out every night to Fundy Bay...

Axcore, whose themes and sounds revolve around the manual chopping of wood and other materials. Absolutely no chainsaw noises permitted ever.

Rectalexamcore, in which all of the singing and instrumentation has to be recorded while the musicians are receiving one.

Bigbandcore, which is a bit of a misnomer, since it won't involve big-band music at all. Instead it will be songs from other genres inexplicably celebrating big-band music, but only lyrically. But some big-band elements will creep into post-bigbandcore.
