which one is your favorite and why?
Boards of Canada have a more consistent kind of mood so I listen to them the most but I don't know where I'd place the other two.

in terms of consistency
Autechre > Aphex Twin > Boards of Canada for me
because... Autechre took the conceptual route of making body music non-danceable, wich is interesting, and really explored timbre and rhythm possible for synths, which are things I'm interested in. Aphex Twin did that to an extent, but I always felt like Aphex Twin tried to either go dance or ambient, and couldn't mix the two; Aphex was also always concerned with filling the conceptual and/or philosophical gaps of electronic music, which may or may not be interesting. Borads of Canada had a few great albums, and generally make great music... for films. I feel like they'd be beyond exalted film scorers, but are just alright electronica musicians.

The first time I ever heard Aphex Twin was when my buddy put it on during my first time taking acid. Insane tunes, but I truly understood it from that moment on.

Autechre, no doubt. The other two are overrated and boring as fuck. I literally deleted "Music Has the Right", it was so bad. I don't even understand why, I regularly listen to ambient such as Eno and Schulze and love those.
