I really think that this is their best album to-date. Discuss.

For me it's tied between this and Soundtracks. Both are so fucking good, I can't choose.

what a bunch of pretentious annoying faggot music
its a bunch of 50 year olds trying to be cool and relevant, anybody can play repetitive patterns then go from soft to loud and then start yelling stupid shit
shorten all the songs to 2 minutes then you have a better album

I can't say this would be everyone's favorite album, but it was an easy 10/10 for me. I love the dark themes and vocals. The progressions felt smooth as silk. I enjoyed the concept. I liked the playing. The diversity was nice. It's my favorite work from them so far. Not a huge Swans fan, but this had me surprisingly enjoying the album.

I still can't decide if I like this or The Seer more, The Seer had some filler but the highs were a little higher.
This album was a chore to listen to in it's entirety. There were some good ideas in there (mostly towards the end of the album) but they were few and far between. I wouldn't mind the repetition if the riffs were interesting to begin with. Overall a mediocre release.
