>>61264411
I have this artist bookmarked, will have to check out. How noisy is it?
>>61264541
Awful, obviously. Probably bate though.
>>61264541
Would have been a lot better if they used actual instruments instead of midi samples.

Vulnicura was mediocre. Its succesful do to its accolades on paper only. What about Piteous Gate had you disappointed?
>>61265141
>ambient
>not including the actual AOTY
what the fuck?
>>61265141
>lithurgy
>death grips
kek
>>61265108
Vulnicura was great. It's so emotionally honest and it reflects that in both the vocals and instrumentation, the instrumentation is definitely her best yet too. Bork's masterpiece, IMO.
I haven't heard Piteous Gate since it was released in the summer, but I think my problem with it was that I would've liked it to flesh out it's industrial influences further. I didn't dislike it by any means, it was very well produced, just didn't strike me as something very special.
>>61265141
I dunno why you have EAI and glitch as subgenres of Musique Concrete, maybe you should have them all as subegenres of Avant-Garde.
Anyway, awful choices. I haven't heard Prants, Ryoko Akama / Bruno Duplany, Jason Kahn . Tim Olive, and fraufraulein, but the only good one there that I've heard is that Greek one.
Check out these:
Kevin Parks & Vanessa Rossetto - Severe Liberties
Keith Rowe & John Tilbury - enough still not to know
Kevin Drumm & Jason Lescalleet - Busman's Holiday (volumes 7 & 12 were my favorite TIWID albums btw)
Masahide Tokunaga - Alto Saxophone 2
Tetuzi Akiyama, Jason Kahn & Toshimaru Nakamura - Between Two
Takahiro Kawaguchi & Utah Kawasaki - Amorphous Spores
Congrats on having Grim there though, even though I'm not sure why industrial is a subgenre of drone. And why avant-folk isn't a subgenre of folk...
Anyway, if you make a version of that chart that makes sense that'd be an awesome tool.
A Doughnut's End is atrocious btw.
>>61265194
This too, beautiful album.
>>61265194
sorry, havent heard it
>>61265289
ah yes, always forget to add that the drone row is a stretch. should call it industrial+drone+avant folk. I just feel that all of the albums in this row have something in common.
yes, avant garde would be a better name - I will rename this row.
Will check out the albums you listed - thanks for recommendations.
I liked A Doughnut's End! I listen to it every now and then when I'm really angry. It kind of absorbs my bad mood. The atrocity of it was the thing that made it interesting for me.
Fucking loved this.
>>61265383
Check out Junko - The Void
It's just a Capella noise from the girl from Hijokaidan. It's insane.
I'm gonna try making a chart like that after I eat. You just made the chart with topsters and then added the titles with PS?
>>61265443
yeah. thanks for the rec!
>>61264405
have u listen to this?
>>61265289
>(volumes 7 & 12 were my favorite TIWID albums btw)
finally someone else who loves vol7 as much as I do, that remix of small town boy is perfect
>>61265514
That remix is what made that was stand out to me aha. I haven't really relistened to any of them though, they really haven't been too special... It's a lot of fun to have a new one every month though.
Has Volume 15 leaked yet?
Deciding between this and Gold of Małkinia by Shofar

>>61265551

Well I guess I'll have to download that.
>>61265556
Great album. Listened to that last night. I can't believe that it held my attention so firmly for nearly four fucking hours.
Mural - Tempo is another free improv CD set from SOFA from this year, but it's not even three hours. Check that out
this thread has gone patrish and I'm not mad. thanks for the recs all of you
>>61265289
I encourage you to give Piteous Gate another shot, its a very decpetive album at first.
>>61265043
>he didn't enjoy the triumphant trumpets caressing your ears like a warm breeze through your hair
>>61265630
It isn't quite Duos for Doris, but Rowe and Tilbury are still fantastic together. Thanks for the rec, I'll definitely give it a listen.
Too lazy to look for a cover.
Кинo - кинo (чёpный aльбoм)
Kino - Kino (cherny albom)
>>61265194

To put it in short, it's Slint gone black metal. Fucking check it out, it's great.

What did you think of Schiff's Schubert recordings?
One of my favorite bands turning out their best album in 20 years kinda makes me a hair biased towards it but yeah, shit's great.
