I have one like that (not a crosley tho) It's not the best sound and yes it will wear out your records, but it's still great fun. I don't buy new records much anyway, I usually just get used stuff do I don't worry about wrecking it. If you are buying hip new records you might want to in the long term invest in something better, however if you are like me and listening to worn classic rock and flea market finds and stuff second hand, it's not even really a problem. Things wear out, it's alright to just enjoy them while they last.

At least you guys are smart enough to not run your records on it. You're better off making someone butthurt by telling them you don't want it than to keep something that's utterly worthless and damaging.
Unfortunately the resurgence of vinyl comes with cheap chinese shit that is bottom tier quality where poorfags think they can get into spinning records on the cheap when in fact they're just ruining the album for the next person that owns it.
If any of you are serious about getting into vinyl collecting do a lot of research, get a proper turntable, set it up properly, store and handle your records correctly and you will find it to be a rewarding hobby.

I've been looking at the vestex handytrax but its a bit too expensive for me at the moment. I've been looking at the U-turn quite a bit but I'm concerned about the size. I need something small and light that I could haul around a bit.
