kind of a broad question, but in the Radiohead era I would say that Wilco/Tweedy was probably the most consistent straightforward songwriter of the 2000s, but there are also groups like Yo La Tengo or Deerhoof who I think wrote some amazing tunes.
But of course all three of those groups conform to my personal preferences for modern rock music, so I ignored people like Sufjan, Iron & Wine, or Ryan Adams who did great things, just not the way I really value all that much.
I just think that Radiohead's appeal rests entirely on their production, and that there really isn't much content past that, past enjoying the pretty noises, and while they do atmosphere and sounds very well they don't have much else to offer if you happen to be in the mood to look into things

Sure it seems like that at first but if you actually bothered to listen past the surface on something like say The Money Store you would find there beats are amazingly detailed with some wacky synths going on. And MC sing he raps, yells and growls which is more than your average vocalist would do.

yoooo this thread is still up sorry bout that! Yeah Paranoid Android is a great song for sure but to be honest Wilco must have dozens of songs that are just as well-written (if not better-produced). I'm speaking more towards post-OK Computer, when their songs were more like little cinematic events than songs, which is okay and all but in my opinion the actual substance of the songs is so minimal on those albums that re-listening ends up leaning towards being a waste of time

of course i don't have an objective argument, and I adore plenty of artists who experimented heavily with the way their music sounds (Can, Velvet Underground) but it seems to me that those artist had a substance to their style, whereas when I listen to later Radiohead I get the feeling that there really isn't all that much past the pretty sounds. I know that their atmospheres and personality really resonate with a lot of people, and I'm just explaining why I don't care for them all that much.

I bought it but it's actually a European clone, "Mana", because shipping from the US is prohibitively expensive I tested 3 clones and Mana is the best, most neutral taste, most protein, and vegan. It has more protein than the original Soylent but that's just due to different recommended nutrition intakes in the EU
