I wouldn't go that far. It is a solid album but it doesn't expand into anything more than what's expected in the genre.

I'm not overly exposed to that genre (whatever it is) so I don't really have much to compare it to.
It just perfectly described my feels (especially New Scream, god damn) and the sound was lush, vibrant, and mellow and I just fell in love with it right away.
Do you have any recs for albums similar to it? I'd love to hear them.

Very catchy and fun but at the same time really gloomy and depressing music. One of the best albums of the year by far. Also they are really tight live.
