Just listen to it. That's all the proof you need.
>>
>>61250770
it's using rock instruments as a texture rather than in a rock oriented manner like riff, therefore it's post-rock
>>
>>61250788
Maybe in the second half I'll give you that. But the first 1/3rd is most definitely krautrock.
>>
>>61250810
who cares OP is still a faggot
>>
>>61250810
How can something be Krautrock that is not from the 60s/70s and not from Germany? Krautrock was a press term for a scene, not a genre.

This is such a shitty argument. A specific genre can be synonymous with a scene and still be just that, a genre. Krautrock has a formula, and bands today are still using it.
>>
>>61250966
>Krautrock has a formula
nah. By that definition Deadmau5 would be Krautrock because he uses rhythms like Kraftwerk.
>>
>>61251004
Implying Neu! Isn't more indicative of what Krautrock should sound like vs Kraftwerk
>>
>>61250948
I'm mad.
>>
>>61251016
This just shows how silly the term is imo. Can, Kraftwerk, Neu, Embryo etc don't have anything in common except time and place but all of them are called Krautrock. Also nobody of them called their music Krautrock. Did Grateful Dead play Krautrock because the improvise, have monotone beats and long guitar solos like Can? Krautrock is not about describing music (at least it should not be) it describes a certain approach to making music and not even that is very conform. Most of the musicians had long hair and liked drugs though.
>>
>>61250948
wat
>>
>>61250699
krautrock wasn't a genre it was a movement
>>
>>61251308
This has been established, dickweed.
>>
>>61251308
not even that, it was just a post ww2 term made up by an english journalist to describe german musicians who did not want to be too influenced by english or american music. except all the hendrix like guitar solos i guess, lol.
>>
>>61251016
more like krautwerk
>>
>>61251467
More like sauerkraut
>>
>>61250311
what the fuck lol
that's literally the best song on the album

>>61250699
you mean krautrock influenced post-rock, amigo

you couldnt be more wrong

I can't think of another album that I listen to regularly that I usually skip a track on, but i often do for pic related's first track. i get the double entendre and how dylan didn't want to get pigeonholed as whatever sort of artist he was, but I still don;t like it.
>>
>>61251571
i agree. dem vibraphones sound amazing on most tortoise songs that have them
