I think it's ok but not as good as Melophobia. I like the production but I think it makes the performances feel a lot less energetic/wild. (At least for the songs that were supposed to be energetic.) For the most part, the lyrics are just serviceable. Outside of a few songs in the CTE discography Matt has never written anything that great so it's to be expected. The songs are decently catchy which is a plus I guess.
6/10

I actually did not like the production on this very much. I think it was a decent album but, with different production it would have been better. Also I think the percussion was to high in the mixing and the vocals too low.

>we want the black keys audience
10/10 job on making us miss the Perfect Confusion and CTE self-titled days even more.

I agree
6/10 needs more energy and song diversity
Completely forgettable, and that cover looks Halsey-tier. Disappointed in them.

they peaked with their last album. it's a 4/10 at best
I wish they didn't work with The Black Keys, idk I liked their older stuff but this was kind of disappointing
I just listened to some of the songs, they sound like they mixed Arctic Monkeys' last album, some of The Black Keys' old albums and Turn Blue, with a little of the vintage neo-psyche that is trending nowadays.
Result? boring shit that is going to sell well.
