Naturally, he got drunk again and she divorced him. The chorus "Waunst ma amoi nu so hamkumst, samma gschiedene Leid" ("if you ever come home like this again, I'll divorce you) has been a meme in Austrian culture since, uh, at least post-WW2? Probably even longer. And so has the fact that the men'd rather get divorced than give up alcohol.

The genre's called Austropop, a portmanteau of Austrian and Pop. It's not just Austrian pop though, that's a separate genre. Austropop often incorporates elements of rock, jazz, and folky elements. One of its main characteristics is that the lyrics are always in Austrian dialect and laden with culture-specific references. Austropop is also quite similar to the Austrian variety of stand-up comedy, Kabarett.

Exactly. There's usually a lot of humour in Austropop, though songs are often very serious at the same time.
Their outfits in the video are a throwback to what people wore in Austria (and Germany, I guess) in the 80s, by the way. Well, apart from the teeth, those are just for added effect in the video.
