Haven't had one of these in a while.
Post your music player; others can give music recs, etc...

I haven't found a better player in quite some time, but it is a pain in the ass to give proper aesthetics.
Holy fuck this Baroness album is good
>>61206264
you better believe I'll bully you
but then again you should use a player that best suits your needs
as long as you are happy, I'll be happy, too
>>61206335
Some great albums on there, I like you
>>61206409
I see a lot of /mu/core, while most of those are great albums try widening your musical horizon
there is so much more to explore and find
>>61206486
I tried to switch to MusicBee but for some reason it refused to monitor my folders so I said fuck it
special snowflake here
>>61206585
Cute as fuck/10
>>61206486
I'm working on it man. I haven't been deeply exploring music for too long yet (probably a year-ish). Do you have any post-rock, lo-fi, or shoegazing albums I could check out that would expand my interest? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

>>61206585

>>61207059
Using mpd and ncmpcppas a client, urxvt as a terminal and a bunch of configuration to the terminal and ncmpcpp. I'm on Loonix btw.

Not him but those are some of my favorite genres. I'm not sure how far you've explored yet, so some are pretty basic, but try these:
True Widow - As High As The Highest Heavens
Macha - Macha
Candy Claws - Ceres & Calypso In The Deep Time
Love, Claire - Love, Claire
bugskull - phantasies and senseitions
Starflyer 59 - Gold
Swirlies - Blonder Tongue Audio Baton
Fly Pan Am - N'ecoutez pas
Tortoise - TNT
Stereolab - Dots & Loops

Check out:
The Apples in Stereo
>upbeat, fun, Lo-Fi(-ish) Indie Rock, for some reason /mu/ very seldomly acknowledges them. Their three 90's records are essential.
>This is their full-length debut:

Lush
>Dream Poppy 1990's UK Shoegaze, very under-appreciated, absolutely essential for the genre, sweeter than MBV. Also a very small and pretty much perfect discography.
>Here is a track from their full length debut:

Medicine
>another Shoegaze band, noisier than Lush, often compared with MBV, their debut record "Shot Forth Self Living" is genre defining
>Here is that albums opening track:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmT12GyXBbc
Del Rey
>underrated and little known Chicago Instrumental/Post-Rock band. Thanks to a certain Lana even harder to find.
>Here is the opening track off their debut record:

The For Carnation
>Formed by (Ex-)Slint frontman Brian McMahan. Excellent Post-Rock, only two full-length albums.
>Here is their s/t album in full:

In the Post-Rock vain make sure to also check out bands like Sigur Rós, Tortoise and Mogwai, if you haven't, which I have not mentioned since they are pretty /mu/core.
There is so, so much more. I suggest using sites like rym or allmusic to find new albums similar to your taste, albums you enjoy.
Be not afraid to branch out.
If you find an album you really enjoy, look up the label on which it came out, (wikipedia offers a lot of information on that) find other artists and their work, that the label released.
There is so much ahead, enjoy the ride.
Anybody here use Google Play Music?

Bad taste sadfag, coming through.
The player is basic, but it works for me I guess.
Rate my Foobar2000, keep it pretty minimal so it doesn't clutter my desktop.

Love sports. too.
>>61208475
I like it. If it were up to me I'd combine the playlist and lyrics view and maybe make it just a little wider.
