Post a song you made that you feel could actually be revolutionary in a genre/a hit single/iconic/etc.

Don't be afraid to be post something it's perfectly okay to be really proud of something you made.

No bully pls
I feel like this could be pretty good if it had some really aggressive rapping over the beat and if it was a bit more polished.

this is awesome. maybe its just different tastes and stuff but I think it would be better without the rapping. Like instrumental or with singing. Like, more punk than hip hop (because you tagged it as both). Also that album cover is cool to me for some reason and I don't even necessarily like Joy Division.
>>
>>61196897
Thank you so much. When I was putting it together I sort of structured it to have spaces for rap verses and such but you might be right about it being better without it.
>>

email it to some meme rappers, someone will take it
>>
>>61196917
yeah that makes sense and it's just like I imagined like a cowboy riding into the sunset, like something on F sharp A sharp Infinity or like the conclusion of a movie (like Pulp Fiction or something). Like, the reason why I said it might be different tastes is just the fact that I don't really enjoy rap and stuff, like I pictured it with a woman singing or with a choir, but yeah, I wouldn't want to tell you what to do because you seem like you already know what you're doing I mean I don't want to ramble on and on but yeah fuck I talk way too much.

I like this, the aggression really brings the music forward

I don't know about revolutionary, but I feel my latest track is an accumulation of everything I love.
Various instruments are chosen because a band or artist I love has used them, but I use them in a different way. This was a creative peak for me.

It's based on the novel "L'Etranger" by Albert Camus.

Hope you enjoy i guess
>>
>>61197922

this is good. I like the use of instruments. It's an interesting piece of music that takes you places.

My take on 'trap'.
Im still stuck using Ableton Presets but I'm hopefully purchasing Complete 10 in the next few weeks.

Nice beat.
You should try producing some witch house.

Don't think this particular song is anything amazing but I want to make a new album with this lo-fi, blown out production style.
Running keyboards through Big Muffs is like the prettiest sound to me.
>>
>>61198054
thankyou
>>
>>61198076
I think it's amazing, and I agree with the two top comments. Also liked it. What are Big Muffs?

Also the voice reminds me of Modest Mouse
>>
>>61198025
noice. I like the sample (or is it a sample?) of the voice on the radio at the end. Has kind of spooky undertones
>>
>>61198108
A big muff is a guitar pedal by electro harmonix.
It's basically a fuzz-boost combined with a sustain pedal.
For reference it's the main pedal that Jack White uses in the White Stripes.
>>
well, i guess its not revolutionary but i wrote some cool death metal songs if you're into that thing

https://soundcloud.com/milodm/spasticated
>>
>>61197922

I agree with >>61197993

Is it intended to be post rock? Because it kind of sounds like it and the album cover looks like a To Be Kind parody lel.
>>
>>61197993
thanks. I tried to make it programme music so it's good if it evokes something!
>>
>>61198152
what do you mean by programme music?
>>
https://soundcloud.com/77-sunsets/commercials-and-stuff

it wasnt intended to be vaporwave but it samples 80s commercials/80s commercials music so it could be a revolutionary vaporwave track maybe? I think it's a good plunderphonics thing too but I don't want to be masturbatory.

I think it just sounds pretty and cool and spooky sometimes.
what do you guys think?

It's kinda post rock I guess, with the use of rock instrument in a different style. I guess that's how I compose.
This was a more deliberate post rock effort, but I tried to see if I could limit myself to roughly 3 mins. I wanted to try and see if such a sprawling genre as post-rock could be reduced in length and still work

Music that follows a set of events. Think "the four seasons", it has a sonnet for each month, and things in the music follow what it says in the sonnet, e.g. the violins might sound like birds in spring.

I tried to use and manipulate leitmotifs and modulations to evoke characters, and drastic changes in metre to have scene changes.
>>
>>61198199
Oh ye that makes sense its kind of a clever idea because post rock is usually like 20 minute long songs and shite and thus less accesible.

I R E A L L Y like this other track too f a m

This is like if you time traveled back to hip hop in 2013, took all of the most obnoxious, cringe inducing parts, brought them back and weaved them together into some disgusting, unholy homunculus.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm working on getting better as a producer so most of what I have on my soundcloud right now is just experiments and practice. Once I find a sound that I really like working with I'll probably release a demo to send around.

Love you forever /mu/

No thanks, I can't even bother to release new material unless I get signed or something.
