Waka/Jawaka is better m8
You think Zappa would still make fun of people in his albums if he was still alive. I'm sure the post-9/11 world would have broke him.

More like he would have broke the post 9/11 world.

This. This is from the best Zappa album. Also a little green Rosetta is a severely underrated track. My favorite song by Zappa though is Packard goose

If Zappa hadn't died maybe 9/11 wouldn't have happened.
Best solo is On The Bus. Prove me wrong. Pro tip: You can't.

Personally, I'm getting ready for when the PC police inevitably start vilifying him and his fans over how "offensive and gross" some of lyrics are.
>>61190724
People already do think a lot of his lyrics are gross and sexist (see Joes Garage)
>>61190755
True, but he's not being vilified by the modern day crybullies, yet.
>>61190770
I think Zappa is safe from PC police because they are "too cool" to be listening to "dad rock" anyways.

Dude was a guitar god, Jesus.

This is weird to me. Zappa faced a lot of backlash as an artist, but it was from a whole different side. The religious right controlled much of what was censored due to being "offensive," rather than social justice nuts. Because of people in power, Jazz From Hell, an entirely instrumental album) was one of the first albums to receive a government-mandated "parental advisory" sticker. Now most of the same powers that censored bands like Public Enemy, NWA, and the Dead Kennedys mostly have gone away, but have been replaced by the far left.
Fortunately, most of these people have no taste, and will only want to censor shitty trap rap and "indie" artists for being offensive. Everyone else will be fine.

Best Christmas song ever imo

How does the audio on this DVD compare to the 1997 CD release of this movie's soundtrack? I was thinking of making my own copy seeing as the current Zappa Records reissues will probably skip over this one for reasons that probably have to do with who owns the rights to the tapes.
Don't do drugs, kids.

Not really, but Grand Wazoo is. Best album, from his best phase. This version of the title track right here is golden, check it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YlQOJW-0CI
also, this version of the Yellow Snow Suite is amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0elpH46dOyQ
