Let's not forget Jerry's solo stuff, Boggy Depot is a masterpiece and Degradation Trip is imho one of the best albums ever.

All Grunge is thrash. Luckily they weren't an actual grunge band, they were a metal band that jumped onto the bandwagon. Now, I'm not a fan of metal, but their brand of metal was fine. I like some of their stuff.

The respect and the seminality are pretty unimportant to me, The Number of the Beast is a "Seminal" metal album and it's easily the worst early Maiden album. That it's popular and people like it doesn't tell me anything.
