Any of you into eurorack synths? I want to get into it but i dont know where to start. I was thinking about buying something semi-modular like the mother 32 then adding modules to it but idk if I should buy individual modules instead. Any help or words of advice would be great thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5JHssUAxYQ
a good starter would be the following units:
>midi>CV/Gate
>2x VCO
>3x VCA
>2x Envelope
>2x Mixer/Router
>LFO
>Filter
>Output
some units might be a combination of these, so keep that in mind. if you've still got money after all of that, get a Rene.

What's the purpose of 3 VCAs?
also, try using Modulargrid.net

Thanks

honestly, you'll end up wanting more... once you start to increase the number of signal paths with a mixer/router/splitter, you'll want to be able to amplify them individually.

some people actually want to make music that isn't completely derivative

you can make normal music on bucha systems you know. people just always make random nonsense cuz buchas have a way too many features

i can barely afford a starter modular, let alone a buchla.

there's plenty of west coast eurorack
(make noise, intellijel, malekko, etc)
buchla was just an example
