>MPP but I listened to feels when I was 14 at an HMV listening station. I felt traumatized listening to their "hit single" grass with the screaming sounds. like I was shaking and white faced.

Thoughts on how new album will turn out?
I think fans should be prepared for bumpin feels along the lines of "Lucky 1" and "Slow Motion". Hopefully some succesful trance inducing sections. That's my favorite part about the "Boys Latin" effect. Listening to two separate melodic lines in stereo can be great experiences.
FloriDada uses this in the chorus. Avey is singing an ascending line while a counter melody goes a little faster upwards. Then they both descend at the same time, with the counter melody still travelling faster.
Also in the Sax section (colin stetson must have contributed it) there are two voices. I feel like this album will have a lot of play on symmetry

Merriweather Post Pavilion. I got high and listened to it and suddenly I was hooked

I guess Danse Manatee, it's got some of their most childlike and catchy melodies but they're overshadowed by the weird production and difficult music.

Fall Be Kind. it's great, probably their best EP, but I don't care much for Bleed and I can only enjoy On a Highway if I'm actually on a highway

really, really, really great. I've listened to the snippets and I'm honestly not worried. plus Floridada is one of the best songs they've ever written.

Panda Bear all the way. although I think they're all great; Avey is the perfect check to Panda's style and vice versa; Geologist doesn't get the credit he deserves (I wish I could tell what he even does half the time); and when Deak isn't fuckin up or stealing money, his impressionist guitar is real damn interesting

It'll be concise and energetic. A couple of song will be amazing, the rest will be pretty good but it'll take a couple of listens for them to grow on you.

Probably Avey Tare.
I don't get the guys who think CHz is their best record. It's not bad, its actually enjoyable, but it is by far the less focused record and it has a really tiring flow. Honestly the song writing isn't that bad, but the aesthetic isn't well achieved in some songs and that breaks the energy it builds up.

I'm optimistic. Floridada is a fucking bombshell of a track. Great to hear Avey's songwriting back in top form. I wonder what the downtempo or melancholy songs will sound like on this album.

i preordered it so good, hopefully. i don't really like the idea of short, to-the-point songs with no ambient interludes but anco is pretty good at making pop music so i think it will be ok. floridada is a great track and it's good to see that they've learned from chz
