I didn't like it as much as MTI, but its still pretty good.That second song with all the noise was annoying though. With every track that he wasn't rapping on I felt a little more disappointed, this being is last project and all.

felt very different from MTI for sure, but I felt like that was the point - seemed a lot more personal and idiosyncratic, whereas MTI was a "persona" project. I like them both in different ways, like GKMC and TPAB. That being said I think I prefer the more extreme versions in both examples - TPAB and OA.

I think I keep putting it off for whatever reason. I'm not huge on R&B though
I had Pusha T's album on repeat for a while today.
There's a few okay songs but overall it didn't do a ton for me. Pretty weak as a whole, I think. The whole album felt like an interlude. No songs really stood out as fantastic.

not to say he's bad as a solo artist, because he is decent, but HHNF was the result of the brothers Thornton going back and forth over some hot beats curated by The Neptunes. That's a special formula.
Probably nothing Pusha does by himself will reach that level. He's got potential but I think working with his brother and The Neptunes pushed him to bring his best whereas he seems to coast a little with his solo work.
Parts of his rapping on the new album remind me of Kendrick Lamar and you hear a lot of Kanye West influence as well.
Pure Pusha T has been lost in his influences lately. He needs to reclaim his individualism and personality.
It flashes at times with tracks like Numbers on the Boards, King Push, Intro, CCC, and maybe one of two others on the new one that I don't know the name (I rarely pay attention to track titles when I got something on repeat).
This album was subtitled "The Prelude" though. So hopefully that means there will be more soon. Like I said, this one sorta sounded like an Interlude or maybe even an Intro.

I thought the girl was cute enough, the black guy had kinda a lovable, goofy doofus thing going for him (kinda like the kid from Dope), the pilot had kinda a rugged charm.
Their looks don't bug me. I like that they chose all new actors instead of trying to get a bunch of well-known actors and shoe-horning them into the new roles.
