What cities do /mu/tants live in? How would you rate the music scene in your area?
San Francisco Bay Area: The music scene here is pretty strong. There's a strong local Hip Hop scene in Oakland, while Berkeley has a lively punk scene that is accentuated by lively DIY venues like the Gilman. San Francisco has a pretty sizable club music scene with a lot of LBGT influence. What about you, ./mu/?

no one cares, furfag
Houston here. We have a pretty nice country scene. not that many huge artists but all the little guys who play the bars are pretty nice. also houston has one of the best hip hop cities in the country.

I don't live in a city, I live in a heroin-infested hick town.

Portland here, we have huge punk, metal, folk, grunge, indie rock scenes. We have a very small and very overlooked Hip Hop scene here (very small African American population in Oregon)
Norwich, small little city in the literal arse of the pig that is England and Wales. famed for mustard, Alan partridge and inbreeding
Has a much better music scene than a city of its size, location and whiteness should deserve
I'm from Montclair, a New Jersey suburb near NYC. There's actually a really great music scene here, lots of fun house shows and occasionally we get bigger name artists like blink and MGMT. Hell, a band from my graduating class in high school manages to show up on the emo general threads here every once in a while, that being forth wanderers (they're kind of dicks irl besides the bassist but they make pretty good music). My favorite local band would have to be Pinegrove, really good folk rock band that just got signed to run for cover ecords a few months ago. Definitely worth a listen if you have the time

it;s okay far as I know. we have a thriving strip club hip hop scene dedicated to making bangers for the club
then we have a diy hardcore christian scene, music sucks ass tbqh.
edm scene in ybor and st.petersburg. friend said there's a growing black metal scene coming up. might join that
can anyone tell me about Denver or Colorado Springs? Venues, shows, stores that shouldn't be missed?
I live in North Dakota, right by the MT border. There ain't shit here.

Do you pronounce it 'noh-rich' like Alan does?
I'm in Vermont
theres no music
cept if you go to burlington where its all annoying college students telling you how some Phish ripoff band is awesome
(Phish is probably one of the worst bands of all time)

fuck off, homo

I live in Denver
The venues are really good. Bluebird is one of my favorites. Must confess, I'm not to familiar with local music beyond 16HP/Wovenhand (excellent bands)

colorado springs has nothing.
it's actually a very interesting city from a socio-economic perspective. nowhere else in the world can you see like 20 thousand guys walking around wearing tank tops on any given day.
(suburb of) Leiden, netherlands
Kinda shit. Theres a couple decent melodeath bands but apart from that it's scarce out there.

Kinda, just less emphasised
People with a Norfolk accent will pronounce it closer to "naaarrwich" though
>>61177993
i'm visiting CO springs right now, sitting in a cabin. This is a beautiful city but I might prefer boulder. I'm pretty spoiled by my home scene though

thanks!
Anything going on later this week or next week?
Is there a local paper or a website with good show information?
I'm dying to see live music of pretty much any sort
I live in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I can't rate music from my area because I don't know any musician from here ?
Hartlepool. Pretty much Britain's dumping ground. Small math rock scene here is pretty cool, but there's also a lot of shit pub rock acts as well.
Southampton, music scene is shite

I'm not from there but I pronounce it "norij", with the r almost silent
Porto Alegre, Brazil
It's horrible. It's full of rockists.
