>tfw grave within a grave
Are you guys pretending to like some of this stuff?
Some of these lyrics are Tech N9ne levels of cringeworthy edgy "You're all brainwashed zombies!!!" shit. The echoed shouts of "We don't know!!!" on the second track are cheesy as FUCK, and that's only one of the first examples of it.
A lot of these tracks are just weird and directionless, the noise pieces don't really build or anything they just kind of begin and end without much progression. The closer is such a huge disappointment, why is 90% of the track a repetition of the same line with a voice filter that sounds straight of of Million Dollar Extreme?
I loved Opposite Lanes and a lot of the tracks that mix experimental beats with straight-up rapping, but many of the songs that try to go off the beaten path never go to any interesting places.
I love it more every time I listen to it but really it's prob 7/10 at best as an album... but my opinion may change with a few more listens.
Very fucking interesting to me.

Honestly the last track was kinda weak compared to everything else, but the lyrics and shit are great for the short time they are there, he's just talking about how rapping was a hobby and that it didn't mean anything, it was like a paraphrased ODAEDB
>>61167151
this
im convinced anyone who likes this is a legitimate redditor. They always say "XdDD you onlye like the meme rap part like MTI "
no one listens to Ugly Mane for his preachiness and edgy noise interludes, which he seemed to emphasize on this album for some reason
Columns and Opposite Lanes are the only good songs
>>61166886
This, so dope
>>61166886
yesss
this album surprised me
Listening to previous Lil Ugly Mane songs after this is just... so weird
I don't think I can listen to MTI the same way again
>>61167093
>tfw
best parts?
>double bass sample in Intent and Purulent Discharge
>when the synthesizer plays in Leonard's Lake
>TFW ECONOMIES COLLAPSE THEN YO STACK IS JUST SOME PAPER
this album is a fucking joke

>I enjoy kanye the post
regardless its cool to hate LUM now cos reddit likes him, same as what happened to death grips
wonder who will be the next one
OA gets 8/10
I've listened to "Grave Within a Grave" a lot, before the album release and after, but the line "are these electromagnetic hallucinations" just stood out to me for the first time. It makes the song feel even more haunting when you realize that even if an afterlife like that isn't real, your mind could make it real in its death throes and make it last as long as it wants since the perception of how much time passes is set by your brain anyway.

'bout right
microsoft anna came with the hardest verse of 2015
why aren't people talking about that lordmaster dj sk tape? it's incredible and imo the second best thing that travis has released this year. (only second to trick dice)
>>61170692
people just slept on everything trick dice related a ton for some reason
>>61170692
a) it got a very lowkey release, b) it's just a collection of Kemp beats, which are great, but not as great as his full albums.
>>61170720
>it got a very lowkey release
true. but you can't dismiss it for being just a collection of kemp beats. that's exactly what the three sided tapes are, and people are shitting their pants over those
>>61170692
It was amazing the first few listens, then it kind of died down for me.
Still listen to it when studying/writing essays, makes for great background music anytime.
