Most of Eno's stuff. Always liked his ideas about discreet music influenced by Satie
>>61164645
Also her older stuff, although I can't tell if I just like it because of the cover art

That album was a disappointment. Rym had it tagged as plunderphonics which is bs, it had like a few samples at most.

Wait, it was a disappointment to you based on you prior expectations which were based on a RYM tag?
>>61164957
Stay away from RYM tags in general desu. They're often not accurate.
>>61164957
The tag was probably based on her older stuff which was much more in the plunderphonics vain. Why didn't you like it?

Yes, well that and the fact that it didn't sound particularly experimental like everyone on there posting was claiming, based on those genre tags I expected something that didn't sound so typical. It just sounded okay to me, not great or anything.

I guess for me, the thing that makes it good (I wouldn't say experimental, because it isn't really– maybe artful is a better word) is that a lot of the sounds and techniques are very familiar, like from the world of trap and shit, but the aims of the genres from which the sounds are formed are stripped away, so it's all recontextualised. Like the "OOOHHH"s no longer exist to build hype, or whatever they do, so you're forced to think about them for their aural qualities. Idk, I just liked it.
not a fan of this search-for-identity-cue-millions-of-sonic-signifiers wave of records. much prefer raw fucking tunes.
