I'd love to start collecting physicals but I have no media player for any format and not enough of an income to justify collecting. I'm on the lookout for noise apparel though. I got pic related recently. I really want a noise hoodie.
>>
>>61149162
Did you get that from vintagetees.highwire? I've been thinking about getting a few things from them for a while.
>>
>>61149209
yeah, be aware the sizes run a bit large. I'm on the border between a large and a medium and the large size of that shirt is too big for me
>>
>>61149162
I'm glad that you at least have the media player required for noise apparel.
>>
>>61149260
Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

As for hoodies, you could always go for the Pulse Demon one on Gutterstock. Besides that, you could get one on Redbubble, but I've only ever really seen Merzbow/Gerogerigegege/Hanatarash stuff on there if it makes a real difference (probably, yeah?)

I don't trust any status that isn't "mint", because anything below that leaves me nervous that they're lying, more-so than those lying about their perfect status. It's dumb but yeah.
>>61149162
After getting the long sleeve from the FNF bundle, I want more noise apparel as well. This weighs heavily on my mind.
>>
>>61149325
>Merzbow/Gerogerigegege/Hanatarash
I enjoy all three of those acts but I want clothes from my really standout favorites.
>>
>>61149391
Yeah, I'd think as much. I hope you can find something you really like!
>>
>>61149333
That wariness is understandable. I've only gotten a couple things on discogs that were way far off the mark as far as condition goes, and most other small variations can usually be chalked up to cluelessness about what condition really is. The standards aren't really objective, after all.

Maybe just try dipping your feet in a little bit at first? Buy a few real cheap tapes so you won't be out all that much if something doesn't show up how you expect.

Here's one of the new No Rent Records tapes:

Blackfire - Dormant (2015) [FLAC]
>lo-fi ambient noise from Wyatt Howland (Skin Graft) and Andrew Kirschner (Mistake By The Lake)
https://mega.nz/#!T0Y3UAxZ!yd8C3xXJEjYNwT--slYZvLCIvRbv5TS7V2deAhLg-yI
>>
>>61149074
it was the least i could do for this amazing community, people here always helped me getting rare releases that i constantly ask for

i think the only things missing from that are the s/t tape which was limited to 10 copies, the live album "under bron", and the aska lp released with sewer election under her name, that i'm downloading now
>>
>>61149669
>Maybe just try dipping your feet in a little bit at first? Buy a few real cheap tapes so you won't be out all that much if something doesn't show up how you expect.
this sounds fair enough, and with the GHSH release I want, it's not terribly expensive, even with shipping. I might try it after christmas shopping is all done.

didn't bother to find out
I'm not into hookers, but there were some hideous middle aged Japanese hookers that were offering blow jobs for $20 (2000 yen), but they always try to lure people into really shady buildings, and prostitution in Japan is run by the Yakuza (Japanese mafia), so I'm sure they have ways of ripping off tourists for tons of money

honestly, I'd advise not even going to Roppongi - it's a disgusting, sleazy place at night

if you want a Japanese girl, it's easy enough to pick up girls at bars who will like you just because you're white, just so long as you aren't in Tokyo, where nobody cares that you're white
Osaka is ideal because they have clubs that are open late at night

Is there any other project related to I Am A Lake Of Burning Orchids?
I already know Laurel Noose, Chambering and Hollow Realm.
I've heard that he/she/they have more tracks, and some of those have surfaced on slsk. If i had money i'd go to England and search him/her/them.

Is Hollow Realm really the same person? I have an EP/album from them but I've never seen any indication that it's the same person

I don't know of anything except the four Laurel Noose EP's, the Chambering EP, the five IAALOBO works, and the single (which I am 85% sure is the same track as the since-deleted untitled Demo that was on the Soundcloud [pic related], but I have no way of verifying)

based artist

also, what about those slsk tracks? I hadn't heard anything
>>

So can we talk about this one?

I'll admit it didn't click immediately but I became a big fan during the last half (which helped me understand the first half). Would love to read the lyrics at some point.

According to RYM, Laurel Noose and Hollow Realm are directly related.
I have read on a lot of places (the last.fm page, websites related to Sweethearts) that there are more releases, but I can't find them.
I searched through every webpage related to the project, I even tried to contact the wife of the dude who published the physical releases of Summer in my Veins and Morning/Hands.
The contact email of the project was something like goldenburial at gmail, but i sent an email and nothing.
It's probable that he/she/they have moved onto another name, and now he/she/they is untraceable, but I don't think so because of Apart, that was released this year.

Yeah, i'm obsessed with this artist.

Shit, I had no idea about the Hollow Realm thing. Glad I already had it though.

I got a very brief email back from goldenmountains(I think?)@gmail.com simply saying something along the lines of "the project is defunct, no more music is being made." That was around the bandcamp update when the single got released and I hadn't made the connection between it and the untitled soundcloud track (still might be wrong about that though). Unfortunately I deleted the email at some point.

Apart wasn't released in 2015, I first scrobbled it in 2014 at the very latest (I reset my last.fm), but my copy has the year 2011 in the tags, which sounds about right because that's about when Summer In My Veins was released. The bandcamp update where he deleted Summer In My Veins, Valediction, and Morning / Hands and added a new header and Elegy (the single) he updated the album art for Apart from pic related.

I'm obsessed with him too, lol, I have a folder full of everything I found related to him. I bought the Morning / Hands and Summer In My Veins CD's too

well someone actually came online and it's done, but I'm away from my computer for now. But expect it faster than you did before, heh.

Kek, recently I was searching the archives for more info and I saw your glory folder.
I was really wrong about Apart, Scaruffi has it listed under 2015 but the videos on youtube are older.
I want to buy the CD's, but I think they must be expensive.
I don't think the project is defunct.
Remember the label who released the CD´s? Well, lotsajoy (the owner) died and his wife is trying to contact IAALOBO and other artists from his other label to do a tribute album or something. I'm trying to contact with her since months but nothing happened.
Really, knowing the 'obscure' nature of those projects he/she/it/they may still be releasing shit under other name.
Now i'm growing paranoic, I mean, there are a lot of plot holes on everything and i'm thinking that lotsajoy is IAALOBO and faked his death or something.
Could you share your whole folder? There are a lot of things i don't have.
>>
>>61169043
There's a copy each on discogs right now, and I bought mine from that guy a while back. $30 each.

I'm familiar with the Khrysanthoney issue. There was talk about a boxset release right before that, it really sucks that it could've happened if nothing went wrong. I'll admit I've thought that he might have faked his death, but I'd prefer not to believe that. I don't know any circumstances though, just that there was talk about a box set.

I've only seen indication that the four projects are defunct (at the very least there's been a couple of years since a release), but I wouldn't be surprised if he was still making music under a different moniker, yeah.

I'll buy them when i have money.
How many years have passed since lotsajoy died? I can't find any exact info and that could resolve a lot of questions i have.
The situation is pretty weird and i'll investigate more.
Thanks for the folder dude, i love you <3

Okay, so I found a few tracks I think I've never heard before. I was sure this artist was all panned out for me, but damn...

Notes: The last.fm "tracks by" page indicated to me that there was an outtakes album (I remember noticing that same thing quite a while back, but I didn't use slsk then) or something, so I checked soulseek. Someone had them, on an 11-track version of what is titled Valediction. Now, the Valediction we all know and love was located at http://iamalakeofburningorchids.bandcamp.com/album/valediction-2 (Found this on last.fm, but sounds right to me). That indicates that there might have been another album named Valediction by IAALOBO on bandcamp. I found the cover this is tagged with a long time ago on last.fm, because it was uploaded before what I now believe to be the second Valediction copy was released - more evidence that the two are distinct, and that this isn't fake, as this explains the two covers.

Track list:

>1. Aretaic Turn outtake I
Same as Meridian Womb, but noticeably quieter
>2. Aretaic Turn outtake II
Same as Alchemic Transit
>3. Chambering Outtake
Same as Crepuscule
>4. Aretaic Turn outtake III
Same as The Cold Neon
>5. Aretaic Turn outtake III (Chambering Rework)
Same as The Cold Neon (Knife of Hesperides)
>6. Granular Synthesis experiment
Distinct. This might be the soundcloud track I remember because it sounds very vaguely familiar (as opposed to Elegy), but I can't say. I don't recall the soundcloud track getting this noisy toward the end at all though, so I sort of doubt it.
>7. SIMV-style outtake
Same as Angelic
>8. Phase, Harmonic experiment
Distinct. Not noisy at all.
>9. Tone Study
Distinct. An extremely minimal noise track.
>10. Deep House attempt
Distinct. Interesting track.
>11. Valediction
Same as Valediction

cont.
>>
>>61170735
Note that Valediction means to say goodbye. I think that this might have been intended to be the last IAALOBO album, but then it was edited into the common Valediction. I wonder what lead them to remove those four tracks?

So I just got through the first track off this, and it was possibly the most boring noise track I've ever heard. It was 25 minutes long, so hopefully the second half is more interesting.

>>61172123
Flare Gun is rec'd a lot, though I haven't personally heard it. This gives me a reason I suppose.
>>
>>61172155
Man the first track is one of my favorite noise tracks. I really don't like the second half though do you may like it. Imo the loops aren't all that interesting and are too vocal heavy.
>>
>>61172242
I guess I was just expecting something a little more complex from this album. The loops are nice and I don't mind the vocals, though I've been listening to a lot more harsh stuff recently, so it is fairly different.
>>
>>61172353
I'm always up for hypnotic stuff and I usually choose that album when I'm sleep deprived or high so I'm usually listening to it in a conductive enviroment. Plus a lot of people tell me I like boring shit so that may be part of it.
