Curt Kobane was a reaIIy bad vocaIist and worse at pIaying guitar.
NlRVANA was about the instrumentaIs and any screaming smoker in their 20s couId've done what he did in his career.
He's onIy revered for greatness because his gf arranged to not aIIow him to Iive.
There's nothing taIented about him or anything he has done and it was aII the work of others. lt's just a bunch of reaIIy emotionaI pictures (which have nothing to do with the music) combined with whiny emotions of the Iisteners that made him even sIightIy memorabIe.
>>61140457
literally who cares
Kimya Dawson is one of the worst musicians on the planet. Her unbearable tweeness was maybe cute for one song but everything afterwards is just a middle-aged mom making poop jokes and singing like she's talking down to her kid.
So much this. I haven't even thought about it since it came out, but reading 0/10 triggered this awful memory.
>>61140465
I love the instrumental to the title track but yeah, that's literally it.
what a piece of shit of an album

>>61140416
anyone who sincerely enjoys this or thinks it has any artistic merit: red flag
doubly offensive because the cover is pretty cool. got tricked hard
>>61143740
ups thought it meant 10/10s
>>61140457
God damn this has to the saddest attempt to start a micromeme I've ever seen. There is nothing memeable about this post and you will never be remembered by anyone, it's time to stop
>>61143364
this
>>61142025
such a shitty album, can't believe how shilled it was by mainstream publications
There is nothing good about J Cole. But the fact that normies worship him makes it worse. I know this is a childish opinion, and what others think shouldn't affect me.
>>61140416
agreed. Although I love Aesop, there was nothing interesting about this.
>>61143364
That's my fave album
I would give 0/10 only to objectively terrible stuff like Apator, Brokencyde, Between the Buried and Me and Basshunter

Was about to flame the contrarian hard.
>>61142025
Really? I loved it myself, but I can definitely see how its sound can turn people off it (or just make people roll their eyes).
If I had to pick a 0/10 for this year it'd be >>61140465
>>61140500
It's horrifying that Aes would think it was a good idea to collab with her. The song Crows 1 off of Skelethon could be so good if it wasn't for her stupid verses. At least with their album as Uncluded Aesop's rapping was underwhelming, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything not listening to it.

>>61143740
i'm glad this post was a mistake
i hat e these beefarts
that AJJ album with a bunny on it. oh god, never had I thought that music can be this shitty
>>61145395
Hate to say it as I'm from Glasgow too but most of the big electronic acts to come from there recently have sucked baws.
Rustie, Hudmo and Chrvches are all tripe imo, which is a shame considering how good the underground scene is here.
>>61143815
i second this.
>>61143364
kill yourself
>>61143792
fuck off I hope you die
Everything made by this fucking band
Can someone explain why it is that otherwise rational people seem to enjoy their music?
Any one of Frank Zappa's albums. They're not funny and the actually good music is drowned in bullshit for the sake of bullshit
You're favourite album senpai

yo fuck this band
>>61148295
well fuck i read 10/10
sooooo underrated
>>61148361
shit i thought you meant 10/10 wtf
>>61148361
how is that underrated?
i took a class on american music in high school and we talked about that fucking album for so long
my teacher said it was better than anything bob dylan ever did
like come on, it's a decent record, sure, but it only gets the love it does because of that doc about it, otherwise it wouldn't be sold at places like urban outfitters for god sakes
>>61148445
I have never seen it discussed on this board once
and i'm 99 percent sure they don't sell this record at Urban Outfitters
>>61143792
are you trying to trigger me or did you just listened to it once and felt overwhelmed cause you're a bitchboi?
>>61142098
I have a friend who considers this his AOTY. I can't possibly understand how.
>>61142098
This. What a huge fucking disappointment...
>>61148665
How is it disappointing? It was an album rushed out with limited ideas and laughably-out-of-touch guest appearances to capitalize on a sudden upsurge in attention brought on by him mumbling on a daft punk song, it's everything I would have expected it to me.
>>61148464
They did, it's sold out now.

>>61148816
Other than Britney Spears and that god awful Tom's Diner cover the guests weren't that bad. I enjoyed the Kylie Minogue and Charli XCX songs personally.
My issue with it is that unlike some older artists that try to make comebacks, Giorgio failed really hard at trying to keep with the times. The production was highly mediocre which I wouldn't really expect from a renowned producer.
The fact of the matter is this. He's old, he's overstayed his welcome, and in my opinion was probably pushed really hard to do something he probably didn't want to do. The label saw the success of RAM and tried to scrape the bottom of an empty barrel.
>>61148765
yeah that's basically the shittiest thing i e'er heard

>>61145395
>>61143792
>>61143740
these are incorrect
the rest are correct
>>61142025
Are you kidding? Maybe it had a few songs that weren't great enough, but still i'd say it's a pretty good album, lyrics are awesome and she shows a lot of personality
>>61149816
It's trash. I listen to music for the music , not for quirky, "clever" lyrics that lose their charm after a single listen and a forced "sincere" personality to show just how "unique" and "real" the artist is.

HudMo has some good stuff he's put out. Not anything he's recently done but some of his earlier stuff is pretty good.
Fuck off, hipsters. Vaporwave is trash.
>>61150662
do you like other swans stuff or do you hate it all?
>>61145231
ya
>it's butt rock by butt rockers who rock butt.
>>61151783
that album is already hated on a lot here you monkeyfucking piece of waste. were you expecting people to disagree with you here? holy shit youre fucking brainless
>>61150039
well duh
>>61152023
Says the person who's overreacting and can't even type properly. I wouldn't expect a fan of vaporwave to have a mastery of the English language, though. Try harder, mate.
>>61147561
It's sassy punk/post-hardcore. That album is a personal 9/10 for me.
this is one of the shittiest albums ive heard in a while. not 0/10 but its 1/10
>>61152083
calling you a monkeyfucking piece of waste and fucking brainless was not an overreaction. thats like saying calling an orange an orange is an overreaction.
>>61152083
>I wouldn't expect a fan of vaporwave
youre doing a great job of proving my case that youre fucking brainless

Some of my favourite albums, but whatever. We all have our tastes. I personally think MPP is a 0/10, but I think I'm in a minority there.
Insert any acclaimed album which i dislike personally which i will then call musically worthless because i am a pretentious fucking sixteen year old.

hi antoine
>>61143364
Also i fucking hate this album
>>61145603
It's inaccessible but it's one of my favorites now. I used to dislike it for a long time but then I was in the right mindset and it all clicked.
>>61152271
more confused honestly, nothing across their whole career is worth the acclaim that the pitchfork/NME/stereogum circle of publications pile upon them
>>61140416
This is barely even Helmet, it's Page Hamilton with a completely different band. Everything on it sounds so bland and uninspired compared to pretty much everything they'd done beforehand, and Page Hamilton's voice sounds terrible on the album, as if he sucked a bunch of helium before he sang everything. The vocals are also poorly mixed and it's painful for me to listen to this...
>>61140416
I love this album
