haha no. GYBE is pretty much those 2 tracks with strings, building crescendos and samples of rambling old men and religious people that you're led and SUPPOSED to think is really deep shit like you don't have a choice either way. For me, the resounding effect just often feels insincere.

It's pretty good but it's nothing groundbreaking, could have been two bonus tracks (or a bonus 7") on Spiderland instead of a stand-alone release.

Glad they didn't do this, hate bonus tracks tagged on the end of album which don't really work in the context. The EP should be kept separate.
Also I could be wrong but I gather the EP is an early example of the post-rock sound which was then the cornerstone for the development of the whole genre (moreso than Spiderland even which there is nothing else which sounds quite like it). Pretty groundbreaking I'd say.
