EVOL, Sister, and Daydream Nation combine elements of their early sound and their later sound. They are the perfect blend, and they capture what Sonic Youth is about more so than any other 3 Sonic Youth albums.

SISTER is definitely it. Beauty Lies in the Eye is a damn near perfect song.
but damn there are so many other albums that come close like A Thousand Leaves, Bad Moon Rising, Evol, even Day Dream Nation. But if you want definitive it's definitely a toss up between Evol, Sister, and Day Dream Nation like those three albums defined the 90s even, even defined Nirvana
