Nah i see what you mean. David had such a fucking output throughout his career. He has always been such an endearing character in interviews and in his music. Bowie wrote alot of the songs for Lust for Life and The Idiot. In some interview he said that he had trouble writing for himself so he found it much easier to project lyrics onto other people, such as Lou Reed or Iggy. Explains all his weird personas i guess

He produced Raw Power in like one day, but i personally think that the original Iggy mix is alot more fitting to the style of music they were making back then. Iggy's mix had alot more kick to it, it was raw fucking power. Bowie removed alot of the bite that the album had, though it was an amazing feat to change the album so drastically in only one day. Legend has it that while recording the album, Iggy actually ODed mid recording, but then woke up a couple days later and finished it. The record company hated the mix he did so they asked bowie who was signed under the same label to help them out. They also wanted Bowies name on the record for extra publicity because Bowie was at the peak of his fame while Iggy was obscure as fuck
