i always labelled it an indie rock album but i was actually thinking about this recently and i feel like if you emphasized the album's folk influences you could definitely make a case for it being a freak folk album
it's got the surreal lyricism and the unconventional vocal delivery and the vaguely psychedelic atmosphere
