So it's my first time with Kraftwerk.
Was I supposed to take this seriously or was it some kind of joke ?
Should I bother with anything else ?
>>
Why would you start with Tour de France that's one of their worst albums
>>
>>61095438
le yes
le no
le maybe
le I don't know
le can you repeat the question
>>
>>61095463
I wasn't aware of that. The artwork and the album theme made me curious.

This album is actually great but you need to listen to it more than once. It's a grower.

A better introduction would be Minimum-Maximum (live album) or any of these: The Man-Machine, Computer World, Trans-Europe Express.

They make these songs about very impersonal stuff related to technology and science. If you are looking for something more "human" (both in sound and themes) this is not the band you are looking for.

Listen to Radio-Aktivitat. If you don't liked, just stop.

I kind of liked how everything sounded mechanical but I guess I would grow tired of that very quick.
>>
>>61096185
Pretty much this.
Everything they do well is on Radio-Activity in some form or another.
>>
>>61096185
Computer Love is the one major exception and maybe their best song. If you like nothing else by them try that one

Actually listen to Minimum-Maximum. It's kind like a greatest hits, with their old songs modernized. There's also a DVD: I highly recommend it to you. Their music makes a lot of sense linked with those minimalist visuals.

As an appetizer, watch these 5 clips:

This is what Kraftwerk is about.

Tour De France is porbably initially one of their worst albums, next to electric cafe. That being said I fucking love both of those albums so much, but still, compared to their other works they dont hold the same conceptual power really.

Tour De France grows on you over time though, a very different sounding album from the rest of their catalog, much more glossy and smooth.

Here's a secret kraftwerk song that's one of my favorites; Heavy Metal Kids from a botoleg live radio show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw8-TlQBcBA

that song is an insane krautrock acid masterpiece.

Also I'm wearing an autobahn hoodie right now, and I just saw Kraftwerk live in Portland back in September.
>>
Start with Trans-Europe Express or The Man-Machine

Why did you insult me, motherfucker? GTFO autist asshole.

This is one of their best, what the fuck are you guys talking about?

Nigga Kraftwerk are from 1970, they are visionaries

Computer Worlds is my top pick. Of remixes made by other artists, Francois Kevorkian's curiously serene version of Radioactivity is the best I'm aware of.
