Nah it's more like stress (which does cause you to overproduce stomach acid) and not eating enough means your digestive juices have nothing to work on so they might end up damaging the stomach lining and...possible cancer.
Now Freddie King, he got an ulcer that ended up killing him because he toured nonstop and hardly ate any solid food, just chugging Bloody Marys (also very acidic since they're made with tomatoes).
