Cancelling shows is a shit thing but it's not exclusive to Death Grips, and whether or not they were just "pretending" isn't even clear, they might have intended to and changed their minds about it.
Either way, they're not playing some super secret game with some shitposters on 4chan. They're making music and being a little weird and artsy about it and that honestly is not that unusual.

Album will be announced December 21st. I'm in with Harvest and I could lose my job, but I don't care because I've got another one lined up and plan on quitting. The album cover is a modified version of what you see on the a2b2 site from what I've heard, which is why there is a very small Third Worlds logo in the corner. Digital will drop late January and the vinyl/CD early February. DG and Harvest remembered what happened with Jenny Death and they want to release digital first.
Honestly can't tell you what the music sounds like because I haven't heard it, I only have the tracklist. However, a co-worker who has met with the band has told me that "it won't lit" is a lyric on the final track.

The music sounds like a lot of samples, but all original. Actually heard from someone that Andy created a new synth sound from belly rumbles.
