Oasis IS a great band, dispite what Avant teens and blur fans say.
I suggest you listen to Morning Glory if you want Britpop and DM if you like indie-rock.
Columbia, Live Forever, The Masterplan, hello, shakermaker, some might say, and cast no shadow are great songs.

Yeah those are pretty good songs, even if they are a bit dated with the whole shoegaze thing, but there were so many boring/tripe songs inbetween the good ones that it's the consensus
The thing is that in the beginning, Blur was a really corporate, manufactured band, hence why they had a different sound and image on Leisure than on the rest of the albums, because their label was trying to push them to be the next big shoegaze hit (didn't work obviously)
Best entries in the discog imo are MLIR, Parklife, S/T, 13 and Think Tank (Magic Whip was okay)
