Not used Last FM for a year; been scrobbling since late July I think. I really haven't been relistening to albums much.
As for my year in music, well, it was much poppier than anticipated. It was about December time last year I got more into pop music but I never thought it would be the case where it makes up most of my listening.

This year I managed to get out of a years-long depression and as a result started enjoying music again. I rediscovered some of my favorite artists, found some amazing new ones*, and for some reason I can't explain apparently also listened to loads and loads of Andrew Jackson Jihad.

This year was kinda all over the place with music. Electronic and Hip Hop was pretty damn great this year. Rock/Folk/Singer-Songwriter stuff was less impressive for me. Also I started to go to /mu/ in 2012 as seen here >>61080629 and I'm discovering less and less albums this year from all over the place. Also most of my time this year was consumed by Movies (Cult-Classics/Classics) and Vidya (GREAT FUCKING YEAR).

Spacemen 3, Primal Scream, Olivia Tremor Control, Of Montreal (Don't really like them that much), Ariel Pink, Boredoms, Love, XTC, The Moody Blues, Lucio Battisi, Circulatory System, and Van Dyke Parks.
Some of these are Lo-fi, Psychedelic Pop, and Space Rock.
But generally most of these are in common with Animal Collective. They may or may not be as tribal or Beach Boys-esque though.
