Poor kid, you don't know that I know more about electronic music that you will ever dream (from Autechre to Zero 7). FYI, The Human League and The British Electric Foundation (Heaven 17) are 2 of my fave bands.
Also FYI, Ladytron are way more than synthpop. You can find influences from 60s pop to post-punk, from shoegaze to krautrock.
I dare you to listen to their 5 albums at least once. If you like electronic music it's impossible (mark my words) to not like at least few tunes of them.
