Yea it was 2deep4me, but I really do love the extra dimension the noise adds to their sound in general. Pure noise is beyond me I guess. Ambient/ Drone is the least traditionally 'musical' I can go before I stop enjoying it.

I'm with OP though. The highs of Gods and Griots are definitely higher than Absence, but I feel Absence retains a more consistent quality.
Psyched for their latest release though. Oktopus, the producer for all of their albums, is gone. But they got dj rEk who worked with them on Negro Necro Nekros. Sounds fucking great.

Abandoned Language is probably one of the best tracks in hip-hop. Subdued soundscape so the listener can take in what dalek's been saying for the past 9 years. You can say that about the whole album really. Gutter Tactics is a good release too, on par with Abandoned Language.
Their real gem is their Untitled work though. Recorded in 2005 but never released until 2010.
