FEZ is my highest rated vidya OST, I think. Somewhere around a 7.5 if I remember correctly, it's genuinely well-made 8-bit-influenced IDM. Soundtracks definitely have the potential to be great, it's just that most aren't and I'm not that well-versed in the genre

Tbh I find that vidya music tends to be much more consistent in quality than actual music.
Probably has something to do with the fact that the composers have lots of formal training.
Also the fact that they really focus on capturing atmosphere and mood
