Everything released after St. Vincent was leftover stuff from those recording sessions. There hasn't been anything really new released yet. I liked Teenage Talk, loved Pieta and Sparrow, and Bad Believer wasn't really that good I thought. Would have been improved a lot if she dropped the EDM buildup stuff I think because I did like how the guitar sounded in the song. All of them though were way too strictly verse/chorus/verse. It sticks out more on those songs than in most of the songs on her albums and I'm not really sure why.

No idea. People hear shit slightly out of the ordinary and for some reason think it's "pretentious" and that people are just pretending to like it to appear smart. I've seen this brought up even on here which considering what is posted on here is really weird.
